Disponible dès aujourd’hui sur Applause, Evening Light marque la toute première collaboration entre Lorkestra et la chanteuse nigériane Kaey. Né d’une connexion spontanée autour d’une prod de Lorkestra, le morceau s’impose comme une respiration douce et introspective, entre batida, afrobeat nigérian et soul électronique.
Moins orienté club que les précédentes sorties de Lorkestra, Evening Light laisse place à une palette plus smooth, chaude et délicate. Un virage qu’il revendique pleinement : « Je voulais revenir vers mes racines plus soul, proposer un son qu’on peut écouter en dehors du dancefloor. »
Portée par la voix à la fois forte et mielleuse de Kaey, la chanson raconte la nécessité d’oublier ses peines le temps d’une nuit, de sortir, danser, respirer. « Ce n’est pas comme ce que j’ai pu sortir avant, et c’est justement ce que j’ai aimé », confie-t-elle.
Entre Lagos et Paris, Evening Light propose un équilibre rare : une fusion organique entre groove percussif et textures électroniques, taillée autant pour les moments suspendus que pour les sets à fleur de peau.

Out now via Applause, Evening Light is the debut collaboration between Lorkestra and Nigerian singer Kaey. Born from an instinctive connection over one of Lorkestra’s beats, the track offers a gentle, introspective escape blending batida, Nigerian afrobeat, and smooth electronic soul.
Stepping away from his usual club-oriented sound, Lorkestra explores a softer, warmer palette. “I wanted to reconnect with my more soulful roots — make something you can listen to outside the club,” he says.
Kaey, with her rich and syrupy voice, sings about letting go of the weight of the world, even just for one night. “It’s unlike anything I’ve made before — and that’s exactly why I loved it,” she explains.
Bridging Lagos and Paris, Evening Light strikes a rare balance: a graceful fusion of percussive groove and silky textures, crafted for golden hours, hazy nights, and intimate dancefloors alike.
